Haley to CNBC "I'll Support Trump If He's The Nominee, But He Can't Win The General"

Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley expressed her intention to support former President Donald Trump if he becomes the GOP nominee for the 2024 presidential election. However, despite her support, Haley shared her doubts about Trump's chances of winning the general election.

While discussing her stance on CNBC's "Squawk Box," Haley emphasized her reluctance to have a President Kamala Harris, stating that the nation cannot afford such an outcome. Despite Trump's current lead in the polls among other GOP candidates, Haley remained skeptical about his ability to secure victory in the general election, emphasizing the need for a nominee who can actually win.

Further bolstering her case for consideration as the nominee, Haley highlighted her successful two-term tenure as South Carolina governor, where she demonstrated the ability to reduce unemployment rates and bolster the state's economy. She emphasized the need for a new leader with innovative solutions to move the country forward.
