Hunter Biden agrees to testify before House Oversight Committee, his attorneys say

Hunter Biden's attorneys recently informed the House Oversight and Accountability Committee of his willingness to testify on December 13.

This comes as part of the ongoing Republican-led probe into his business dealings. The attorneys, acknowledging the closed-door sessions utilized to manipulate and distort facts, propose opening the door to shed light on the proceedings.

The move follows the subpoena of Hunter Biden, his uncle James Biden, and his business associate Rob Walker by the Oversight Committee. Committee Chairman James Comer had previously threatened contempt of Congress for anyone defying the subpoenas.

These subpoenas form part of the Republican-led impeachment inquiry against President Joe Biden, officially launched in September. It alleges the involvement of President Biden and his family in an influence-peddling scheme.

In response, Hunter Biden's attorney, Abbe Lowell, criticized the investigation in a letter, highlighting the Committee's lack of success in linking their client's business activities to his father.
